Candidates

Liberal incumbent Udjahl Dosanjh won the previous two elections, but kept his seat by a mere 20 votes in 2008, caught in the general Liberal meltdown. The danger of vote-splitting electing a Conservative is extremely high in this riding. Incumbency is generally an advantage and the NDP are not competitive in this riding. Dosanjh is also an excellent Parliamentarian and has taken progressive stands on issues including support for the oil tanker ban off the Northern BC coast.

About the Riding Predictions

The riding predictions you see on Project Democracy are based on a model that uses the 2008 election results (with some exceptions noted in specific ridings) and current polling to help voters understand what the public polls probably mean in their constituency. Read more
