Candidates

This is a volatile riding and in the past, the support has rotated between the Liberals, the Bloc, and the Conservatives. Conservative MP Denis Lebel won by less than 2,000 votes last time around, so progressives could win this riding back. Although the Bloc seemed best positioned to take this seat from the Conservatives, the NDP surge in QC makes it look like the NDP could take this riding. As we are now into the final days of the campaign, we are looking to confirm this with some local information and polling.

About the Riding Predictions

The riding predictions you see on Project Democracy are based on a model that uses the 2008 election results (with some exceptions noted in specific ridings) and current polling to help voters understand what the public polls probably mean in their constituency. Read more
