we had hoped that Conservative MP Cheryl Gallant would not have a lock on this sefor and that her chronic foot in mouth disease would finally be catchup with her. Former Liberal MP Hec Clouthier has announced he will be running as an independent, something he did in 1993 against Liberal MP incumbent Len Hopkins and managed to garner 10,000 votes. Clouthier did serve as the local MP from 1997 to 2000 and has a high profile in the riding. The local paper, The Eganville Leader has endorsed Mr. Clouthiers candidacy. Vote your preference.
