Candidates

The NDP -- Svend Robinson and Bill Siksay -- represented this riding for decades, often winning with very slim margins. Siksay won by 798 votes over Conservative Ronald Leung in 2008, with the Liberals garnering over 9,000 votes. Whew -- almost a case where vote-splitting could have elected a Conservative. Leung is running for the third time against new NDP and Liberal candidates. It looks like the NDP candidate Kennedy Stewart has the best chance of holding off a Conservative surge which is a real concern at this time.

About the Riding Predictions

The riding predictions you see on Project Democracy are based on a model that uses the 2008 election results (with some exceptions noted in specific ridings) and current polling to help voters understand what the public polls probably mean in their constituency. Read more
